Alphabet (Google’s parent company) has filed a patent for a “needle-free-blood-draw system” that can be used either as a wearable on wrist or a hand held device that takes blood from a fingertip or other parts of the body.
Google new design basically a really skin-piercing gadget that works by blasting a gas powered micro particles into the skin and then draws a small vial of blood into a pressurized container and can be used to measure glucose levels.
Google doesn’t release any content saying what it’s planning to do with the new idea. Google told The Verge “We hold patents on a variety of ideas, some of these ideas later mature into real products or services and some don’t.”
Google getting into needle free blood test gadget shouldn’t be a surprise because the new parent company Alphabet is expanding into non search related businesses.
