The competition between photo sharing apps is getting its way ahead than anticipated. As we saw two months back when Instagram launched the stories feature, which was available to Snapchat users only. The feature has been used by more than a hundred million people since its launch. After the success of the stories feature, Instagram is now making it more accessible. Now Instagram users can view stories in the explore tab of the app.
Adding stories to explore tab will make sure that people see what others are seeing throughout the day. There will be new suggested stories, albeit this may annoy some users. Still, Instagram is trying it’s best using different algorithms that track users activities (likes and comments). Which will eventually decide what to show in the explore tab. This will also add new people to your explore tab.
The feature will only show stories that are public. Depending upon the user, she/he can hide his stories by making setting them to private.
Note that the feature will get live today (19th October 2016).
